Infinity

Lonely wind
On the plain
I walk alone
Rows of stubble
Stretch for miles
Aisles of loneliness
Barren of life
Slowly rolling hills
Meet a grey sky
When we last met
It was forever
You said
Then the green night
Stopped us
And turned red
If dreams are forever
Then I’ll be gone by dawn
Because I never planned on
Infinity….

Those last four lines put Willie Nelson to shame. Love it.
