Infini
I know not how to will this heart away
from beating ceaselessly in time with yours;
unable now to rise up from the floors
of wondering, and affect's disarray.
I know not how to lead this mind astray,
eliminate regret where it explores
(the almost-future's now receding shores),
and put but confidence out on display.
I never laughed until I laughed with you;
until I walked away, I never cried;
with every word, I only breathe this prayer,
the offering that's too long overdue...
for never did I live as by your side -
within a bliss I'll not forget (I swear).
