I have been working on the ottava rima format.

Ottava Rima

The Ottava Rima is a unique and captivating form of poetry composed of eight eleven-syllable lines with an a-b-a-b-a-b-c-c rhyme scheme. It was developed by Tuscan poets in the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries.

Here is another ditty inspired by Emile Pinet.

Infernal Flame

Infernal Flame

Beneath the gothic arches, his gaze held fast,
In candlelit chambers, their desires impure,
Whispers like velvet, dark seduction amassed,
Her raven hair beckons, with sinful allure,
Blood-red roses fell, memories of lovers past,
In shadowed embrace, their dark tale would occur, 
A forbidden love, born from infernal fire,
A raging passion of unbridled desire.

Always love reading a poem on forbidden love, something about them truly is poetic and i love your wordplay here, i see your love for dark poetry through your diction! And i really love the lines “ Blood-red roses fell, memories of lovers past, In shadowed embrace, their dark tale would occur, ” brilliant! Blood red roses! Thats intense! And rhymes here is just creative and you did the form well from what i see! Pleasure reading this poetically soulful write
