Indian Summer
In a world
Of blues and greys
Streaked in swirls
Of sunlit shadows
Hints of gold
Tinge a brisk morning air
The cool stillness ruffled
Of a glassy lake
Not a sound it makes to wake
A sleepy drowsy nature
Gearing up to hibernate
All good things come to an end
Indian summer says her goodbyes
In her most colorful flamboyant style
