India Pakistan Border

across country border the hatred games, played with bullets for political aims, their history, their culture much the same, mislead, misinformed their passions aflame! year after year, generations of blame, their families bear same ancestral name, history forgotten from whence they came, venomous words preached breeding death and shame. their forefathers fought and their fathers too, their grandchildren fight and their children too, old bleeding wounds never allowed to heal, hatred handed down for future to deal! No end in sight for foolish hatred wars, far in to the future stretch battle scars, innocents born across border divide Are engulfed and lost to this evil tide! religion, prejudice, colour and class, walls built with ignorance are built for loss, how do we overcome this pestilence? with wisdom, time, goodness, resilience! Decisions made by super powers might be a quick fix initially but in the long term lead to hatred and conflicts, Israel, Northern Ireland, The Falklands, Iraq, and Libya. I could go on. Well written Verse Krish, We all live in hope that love and respect for each other regardless of colour, religion etc will win the day. Tom

Tom Thanks! These mistakes are serious mistakes that make generations suffer! How many generations have suffered because of this! The world has many good right thinking people who work to bridge this divide. Only education and time will resolve this.

Another great write Krish. God gave the world free for all. We divided it among ourselves and started fighting to increase our share. Power hungry politicians are main cause. Onus is on parents to train kids with traditional values like we are a part of God. Sarve bhavantu sukhinaha. Enjoy your day friend. Take care

Thanks Rama. You are absolutely right! we have capitalistic countries that would like to prosper at the cost of other countries that suffer!

Yes, the India-Pakistan divide was one of the least-understood and most-underestimated tragedies of the 20th century, right there next to the chopping up of Persia into Iran and Iraq after WW1, another enormous mistake. Shows that 'Great Powers' make horrible mistakes. Would that we could wave a magic wand... Peace and Tranquility, Gershon

Well written piece. The India/Pakistan conflict is of great concern to me, as well. The world must take note of this conflict and your words have hopefully wakened others to the severity of it. Well written, my friend and fellow poet.

Thanks Ryan! Glad you see it my way and similar hatred in many parts like Palestine, Israel, Russia, and so on! Future generations bear the costs of such divisive forces! God bless! Good wishes to you!
