there is a peace
deep-rooted
that echoes through

as if by some enchantment
its gentle breeze rolls
tumbling in slow motion
toward the lands
barely disturbing
skies of azure blue

wispy clouds serene
quiet and disarming
suspended in mid air
midstream as if
to hold back time

barely a whisper
disturbing the enchantment
of a midsummer afternoon
