In Your Debt
IN YOUR DEBT
How could I ever pay you back?
Amidst my helplessness; you offered more than help
Now, as the days swing by and seconds fly
All I think is if I could ever pay you back
In this thought of mine; I still remain your prisoner
In this prison of debt; convicted but yet grateful.
Everyone has someone
Someone to lean on when no one cares
Like a good alpha; you extend protection to wolves not in your pack
Only the thought that someone cares calms my spirit
In moments when it seems that nobody cares again
I needn’t knock twice before you open your door of help.
Help with rules; no negotiation
To keep getting aides; I must obey your rules
I don’t cross the lines; I stay in line
It’s not like I have options; I stick to the only one
Without doubt, am grateful; happy? Doubtful
Till time fades away; I remain in your debts...
