In Wendover, Nevada

Staying one weekend
with my spouse at a
casino/ hotel,
we enjoy good food
and gamble of course.

Wasting money
at slot machines
becomes boring 
after a while.

We traveled
far for this?
I’m thinking

we should
have stayed

home.

I was losing and winning, losing and winning, but I kept playing as long as I did not go into my own spending money. Eventually I hit a jackpot and scored an extra $25. I told hubbie, "now I'm done"

Rather than visit a casino anywhere I would rather see a show, visit a zoo or park, ride a boat or train, go to a spa, or a dude ranch, so many other things to spend your money on. John Watt May 18, 2020 at 10:39 PM Ah, you speak for many, my wife and I included. There are fun things to do, but the drive is long, Nevada roads get tiresome, the weather is harsh, and eventually you just want to be home. Well done, I can relate! GL in the contest.
