In Wendover, Nevada

Staying one weekend with my spouse at a casino/ hotel, we enjoy good food and gamble of course. Wasting money at slot machines becomes boring after a while. We traveled far for this? I’m thinking we should have stayed home. May 18, 2020 for Emile Pinet's Diminished Hexaverse Poetry Contest

My spouse has the same feeling every time we visit extravagant places, spend a lot and still feel weary. I guess we remember a place for how beautiful it makes us feel so little moments of joy in nature are always soothing. Congratulations on your win Andrea :)

I have done it and it is compelling and intriguing until my twenty dollars is gone. Then I either walk away or lose two hundred more trying to win it back. Nicely done.

Here is how I play it: they gave us $50 to play with. I was losing and winning, losing and winning, but I kept playing as long as I did not go into my own spending money. Eventually I hit a jackpot and scored an extra $25. I told hubbie, "now I'm done"

My feelings exactly. Rather than visit a casino anywhere I would rather see a show, visit a zoo or park, ride a boat or train, go to a spa, or a dude ranch, so many other things to spend your money on. I loved this little peek into a vacation that wasn't what you expected. God Bless and stay well, JB

Ah, you speak for many, my wife and I included. There are fun things to do, but the drive is long, Nevada roads get tiresome, the weather is harsh, and eventually you just want to be home. Well done, I can relate! GL in the contest.

Straight forward reality. So honest in this one. Doesn't sound like you enjoyed yourself. When your thinking of home it's time to head home. Now were home because of the plandemic and we want to be out and about. Andrea can we ever win? lol

I love shows but every time we went, they did not have them any more. Just expensive concerts at certain times.
