In Vain
Looking back over the vast hills
I see the pain, the tears all in vain
I see the blood and the hurt cries
With every mock laugh I see monetary gain
Woe to this country, this facade of glee
My respect I have lost, my fate be taken
Alas my tears they have brutally foresaken
As the last dewdrop surrenders and falls
As the sun begins its habitual ascent
I look back at the vast hills
And remember it all
