In These Memories

In the cool crisp morning, I walk down this tree-covered trail
Watching a squirrel scurry through last Fall's leaves, gathering his breakfast
I listen to a cardinal sing his morning song to his mate;
as the sun rises over the treetops
I think of you and the memories you left me
In these memories, I walk with you hand in hand
The sun upon my face is your kiss on my cheek
As the wind whispers the words
"I Love You"
