In the Tunnel
Long it has been
My tunnel awaits
Long it will be
For me to awake
Darkness numbs
The loud surrey
Kindness keeps warm
I'm reminded not everyday
Secluded from this small world
Smaller it seems
But this too is enough
to bring joy or weep
Like every other sorrow
This tunnel is my morrow
And this too shall pass
With many more to follow
