In the Temple of the Lord
Adorned with elegant white satin robes
That shined with a pearlescent glow,
Stood millions of Christians
Redeemed by Christ’s blood,
In proud and proper rows.
Positioned around them were immense columns
That reached hundreds of feet into the air,
Perfectly fashioned from virgin white marble
And adorned with huge gems that were rare.
The intoxicating smell of frankincense and jasmine
Drifted throughout the resplendent great hall,
Emanating slowly from many solid gold urns
Each standing an incredible fifty feet tall.
Then came the mighty trumpet call
Of Gabriel himself
As the redeemed humbly knelt with heads bowed
And one by one, each happily came forward
For a special gift, their King would endow.
