I read your reply to Dilly and thought, ‘senses reflected in a mirror. ‘ what a unique concept… a Braille mirror that when touched will expose emotions.. possibly allowing one to hear others words or even thoughts? Ok I’m delving into The Twilight Zone. I think the world will vanish to me when I die, hopefully not forever, but that’s a whole nother playing field. You DO lead my mind to far off places.

I've been down a few, David. Not all of my own choosing but eventually I resurface.

Heya Lin for sure Dilly and myself tend to view the world in an abstract light, sometimes it really makes a lot more sense that way, the Braille mirror concept is just another way of examining different dimensions that cannot be seen by our human eye, but still very real nonetheless, sorry to lead you down the rabbit hole, cheers David

Well, you'll be glad to know I didn't imagine David Copperfield and lose the plot... My vibe is about the reality of what we can interpret of the world - there's a simplicity to having a narrow view, but there's a sense/sensation of more, a whole raft of the imperceivable that should we see it we'd be forever changed. The braille mirror is quite complex - a view of self only felt, so again deep into sensations and possibly cold. Braille is often words from another, so given a way of viewing...

It’s a complex one for sure Dilly, perhaps some dysmorphia from the blind man for he interprets reality differently than a sighted person, there is a simplicity in not attempting to see the bigger picture, which is beyond terrible and even despisable if one becomes overwhelmed by mortality consequences, the Braille mirror was just a metaphor for how other senses reflect the world rather than through sight, you aced it as an exam question, cheers David

self that actually causes one to despise themselves. Not really our own view at all. There is external validation taking too much importance within these lines and a requirement for faith in oneself (I addressed it as an exam question of course) :)

I don't suppose he'd ever know living in darkness and many sighted ones living in darkness wouldn't know either. Tom

Heya Tom, indeed another way of looking at this one, many sighted people live in darkness because they can’t see past themselves, or won’t even try, maybe that’s what the blind man despises so much, cheers David

I'm saddened David. "The Braille Mirror" an actual magazine, King James Version of the Bible! I could've hit & ran this one by commenting 'great ku's xo' but instead I learned something! ;)

The braille mirror struck me sad the way it was used.

I never even heard of a braille mirror so took a chance with that one Anaya, nothing really to be sad about here (or perhaps there is) depending on interpretation, I always like to layer up my monokus with metaphor and extra dimensions, cheers David

Great images! With your first monoku I think of my reaction to my mom’s death…I thought has she ever been here. Oh how the heart can’t make sense of such things and merely learns where to place it.

Beautiful words Kim, trying to make sense of death at a basic human level can be devastatingly impossible, and can overload our senses with all sorts of emotions even hatred, this one is all metaphorical of course, I was quite surprised by the many different interpretations it can evoke, sorry about your Mom Kim, cheers David

Heya Jan, they can say so much in one line alone, but with two lines the possibilities are endless, cheers David
