In the Shadow of Sunlight
In the shadow of sunlight
darkness lives
the darkness that hides the pain
and evil that lurks
in the crevices of life,
yet can cause so much sorrow
that it blocks out the sun when it does
show it's face
It takes determination to see the light
when darkness threatens to overthrow
it every time it rises
It is necessary to seek it out,
and try to soak in goodness
where you can find it
and embrace life's blessings
so you'll be ready if the darkness reappears
