IN THE REMEMBRANCE OF THE MARTYRS

They sung for the Lord in the synagogues Raising mixed feelings to the music analysts Voices mattered less, the message more precious Preached his word in the land The sacrifices they made to secure life! In moments of trial, they testified of his goodness Seeking his comfort when times were darker Faith led their ways, hope guided their motives; God was good in the old days, He still was good in their days, resistant to change He would forever be good! Unmoved by threats, ready to battle for him, The victory, he would grant them Eternal peace was their prize, So they bowed to human destruction, Holding their flags firmly still.

I don't believe God supports so-called martyrs in the wars of the nations. But they are pawns and will return to earth one day, while Satan's seed will remain in oblivion

I guess what I was trying to say was the early Christians refused to take up arms or to engage in nationalistic pride. They were a brotherhood and the true martyrs died as sheep

Maybe yes, maybe no. Writing this was for us as christians to be better when it comes to who and what we believe, given that we have been blessed with freedom of choice. They were persecuted by fellow humans, who sought to exalt themselves above the throne of Mercy, but despite the hardships didn't denounce their faith. Times come in life where we feel like giving up on God because of ugly situations, but if they could die for he who they knew not by face or by voice, how hard can it be for us, to remain firmly rooted in him?
