Intermittent spring rain
has dressed mother nature
in her Sunday best;
all is young and beautiful.
A lingering rainbow
hangs steady.
Petrichor wafts
in the noontime breeze
as white butterflies
float about carefree.
Bumblebees flit and buzz
around the wildflowers
and hordes of grasshoppers
erratically jump for joy.
A joyous day of renewal
in the green valley.
