In the Garden

i never felt i deserved anything good so why am i so hopeful for you? that face, my god, i love that face. the second angel sent from grace and i don't know how i got here but i want to stay with you. everything about you makes me melt into the sofa. i'm trying to get closer because i see a halo floating up above your head and if you squint hard enough maybe you'll see mine, too. i get so quiet when i'm around you i get so focused on body language trying to find a clue as to if you want me, too. it's hard not to believe in heaven after being held by you. i have roses budding over my skin on all the places you have been. i want to wake up with the sunrise in the garden next to you where we are so very alone with the earth and morning dew.
