Notes About The Poem

Forest, Shadow, Silhouette, Man, Fear

In the End

In the end you're only human,
In the end you're the only thing human.

The end is never a doubt in your mind,
The end is both good and evil.

Something different is in the night,
Shadows steal your soul.

You still believe in comforts
Like time on a shelf,
But in the middle of the night
You hear your lover's lost cry.

The clock on the wall
Ticks away a day and a half ago.

Sound is only the rain drumming
On an empty world.
