In the Absence of Complication

In the absence of complication,
trials and tribulations become distant memories.
Above sapphire skies delight sanguine eyes –
inspiring forthcoming musings of the mind.
wondering if the stars are gazing
at him
pondering the depth
of his emptiness
the flamboyance
of his frailty
puzzled by his tenacious
acceptance
bewildered by his insouciant
laughter
awed by his streaking
tears
silenced by the solitude
of an open heart
in the absence of complication.
