In That Moment
As we stood there for that moment
She had caught me in a stare,
In a gaze of such atonement
That the wind blew from her hair...
Against a gusts in my direction
So the leaves that fell could swirl,
About our busts with such perfection
That each strand I touched would curl...
Pulling gently at my ego
Tugging softly at my heart,
In such a way that only she knows
Hugging onto me could start ....
Slowing time as if to read me
Like I was an open book,
Not just a bind of pages bleeding
Begging for a second look....
And it was within that moment
That will never come again,
I could tell that she would own it
So we could be more than friends.....
