In Search Of

In search of truth. In search of light.
In search of good. In search of right.

If you seek to know what’s true,
use as your guide this one sure clue:
For each belief or grand insight -
“If the world believes it, it’s not right.”

And if you seek the source of light,
don’t follow crowds in dark of night
but go alone to secret place,
the light will shine with all its grace.

Perhaps you want to know who’s good -
look for the one misunderstood,
hated by all that soul you’ll find
has done God’s will with faithful mind.

And finally if you do what’s right,
expect none less than wrath and spite.
For these eternal words are true…
“The world hated me before it hated you.”
