Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

In Remembrance of Trevor Starr

In Remembrance of Trevor John Starr
1st September 1945 – 5th November 2016

For Trevor
There are no words for you to say
to someone you’ve loved so long
Brother, Husband, Father, Pop
the parting just seems wrong
and now it’s time to say goodbye
as you try hard, to be so strong

You remember all they have been through
the love, the trouble, the strife
and remember days of happiness
as you recall their life

And walk with them, down memory lane
as scenes go passing by
remember you knew and loved them
and it’s alright to cry

Written by Trevor’s brother-in-law Bob Moore,
 for Trevor’s sister Lorraine
and his family
Narration by his sister Lorraine
