In Quarantine Moments
Midst enhanced community quarantine…
my soul earnestly seeks the Lord
Whose throne of grace door never closes
as He hears my supplication of faith-shout
that pandemic-caused lock down cannot silence.
Despite social distancing rigorously enforced…
my heart intimately draws nigh to the Saviour
Whose presence sweetly warms my being
as He revives with blessed joy
while upholding me against evil tidings.*
Though global panic brings angst…
my spirit trusts the Almighty God
Whose love unceasingly assures His security
as He encloses me around His redemption’s fortified peace
so here I am, thanking and praising Him along worship’s bliss.
*Psalm 112:7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
