In our sunset years

When we’re at peace, God’s light engulfs our chest,
on top of our head, He places His hand,
this epiphany dawning on demand,
divine gifts of grace, for which we feel blessed.

Employing free will, we ask thoughts to rest,
that drenched in bliss mists, soul may understand,
God’s omnipresence as we make our stand,
in our heart’s cave, where light of Self does nest.

Erased are our fears, in our sunset years,
with our heart now mindful and touch gentle,
softened attention, soul’s meditation,
reflecting God’s light, as His presence nears,
our spherical vision nonjudgmental,
radiance of love, our heart’s pulsation.

The cravings and anxieties of our mind get softened as we near the sunset years. When we slow down our pace and look within, we can see God's light that nests within our mind. This light will lead us to love and peace. A lovely poem giving hope to those who are in the sunset years.

Unfortunately Valsa, not all people opt to refine consciousness as they age. It is a choice and we have to actually walk the talk in lived reality, moment to moment, breath by breath, day by day. In fact, most people remain as they are, set in their ways.

Yes, Subimal and as you are yourself well aware, the light is within.
