In my skin, I'm proud and free! This beautiful dark skin I was born with And live in Fills my soul to the brim With unadulterated pride; Notwithstanding A few scars and discolorations. Through my chocolate skin Captivating stories Are revealed. Look closely and you'll see Some parts have seen better days, But the imperfections Both seen and hidden, I welcome, I accept. This beautiful dark skin Of mine, I'm so proud of; Glistens in the sun when Vaseline Is smoothly rubbed into it. I live in it, and always will. It makes me who I am. I love being Black. It's beautiful, as they say. In my skin, I'm proud and free! Date written: 03/07/2021

It would be nice if everyone were confident and proud of their skin, their body, their life. Love yourself for if not, you cannot love anyone else. :) Linda

I never judge anyone because of his skin. I am not much in contests lately. I wonder what contestants will write.

You should enter contests more, Victor:-) I see you racking up wins left and right! As for my upcoming contest, there are so many different directions to take the "Skin" theme.

I like this! Good for you! After all, we're each in the skin that God gave us. What could be better than that?! ~ Peace and Tranquility
