In My Shoes

Suicidal people are selfish!
They are arrogant.
They are full of pride.
They never think of those
that they leave behind.
Thinking ridiculous things like,
"My family will never miss me"
or
"My friends? They never cared".
They don't know what pain really is.
Hardships, heartache, heavey burdens.
They know nothing.

I work forty to sixty hours a week.
Giving my family the life I never had
and even still,
if I was gone tomorrow,
the only thing they would miss
is my money.
My friends are closer to being acquaintances.
I doubt they would truly care
if something happened to me.

These people considering suicide,
they would never last a day
in my shoes.
