In My Perfect World...
In my perfect world......
I would spend my days where I have loved and laughed
Where I have gone befriended
With assurance in the wind, such things are never ended
I would spend each perfect day in my perfect world
Beneath the sun that warms my shoulders
And even then, when day is over
And twilight comes, and night is cold..
Stars will shine and moon will hover
Yet I'll keep warm beneath my covers...
I'll be acquainted with the gentle moon
As it takes a path upon the lake
And tall green grass that bends and shakes
And trees that whisper when evening comes
With troubles none, without a care, or worry's weight
And when I sleep, the stars in the sky
Will smooth my dreams in quietness
And all the world in peace will rest
And precious souls around me blessed...
When morning comes, without a guess
I will awake to meet my day
A day of God, a day of family, a day with friends
A day of laughter....
And love that lasts forever after....
