In My Mind
In a secret corner of my mind
A place I often go
I exit the world, peacefulness there.
It’s a place, we all should know.
A haven for thoughts or dreams alike,
A place of safety too,
But there, when I am alone in thought
I, so often, think of you.
Never wish to leave just where I am.
No, never leave this place,
For a look of happiness can always be seen
When looking upon my face.
I hope to see you there some time
And take a moment or two.
If you can’t make it, worry not
For I will dream of you.
