In My Kitchen

In my kitchen I do see
So many things that do please me
I love eating, cooking, cleaning
My kitchen it has so much meaning

In the kitchen so much joy I find
Beauty treatment comes to mind
And juice of lemon, oatmeal too
Diminishes all that rust for you

Then we have those cleaning things
Vinegar, Bi-Carb, much ease they bring
They do help me such a lot
When it comes to cleaning pots

Then we come to eating, Yum!
It's such a treat to my old Tum
Though sometimes cooking drives me mad
Sometimes it peeves me just a tad

Now I am off to do some shopping
And then return to do some mopping

A housewife's job is never ending! I know this from experience....since I retired I do my best to give a helping hand (and I enjoy it!) but one thing leads to another! I love cooking...but only when I'm in the mood:) Take care. // paul

Oh! Paul thank you so much for your lovely comment, no my job is never done in the kitchen, it is an 8 hour job, but I am one of these people who doesn't like anyone else touching the dishwasher or washing machine, they never stack them right anyway so I do make work for myself, regards to your wife and do have a great Christmas and a happy new year, take care the both of you...........Vera..........

Vera, great poem some say the kitchen is the heart of the very home itself, but I believe it's the women that makes it so, for she is the true heart of the family unit. Her love creates a family, that lives within four walls that she makes a home with her loves devotion and dedication. When she cooks, cleans, raises the children and takes care of the man of the house she becomes the care taker to all whom resides within, so she creates a family, a home, a unit of love called a famiy, cheri

Vera, thank you my friend your comments mean a lot to mean, I'm glad you like my winter poems so much. I don't really enjoy winter that much but tis the season to celebrate the winter I guess lol. I would rather be by the pool with you guys, basking in the warmth of the sun. But you wrote to me once about how you have never seen snow, and it touch me, so I wrote a couple of these for you my friend, including snow angels, and a winter wonder land. glad you enjoyed your poems so much, cheri
