In My Boot

There's something in my boot...
My "Frye's", sittin' in the corner...
One seems to be shakin'
And I know it had not ought'a...

I lay in bed, watchin' my boot
Dance alone...
Maybe the Shoe Police I should phone?

Now it's buzzin'!!
This is really weird!!
Is my boot possessed,
my ghostly feet...
What's next,
A cobbler's beard?

Maybe I ought'a
check it out...
I got up to do so,
Then I had a doubt...

Maybe dancing boots
are best left to themselves...
It could be those
cobbler's elves...

Now if I was smart,
And if I was bold,
I would'a then sold
The "Mystery Boots"
To the sideshow barker...
Or so I was told...

Now I may live to
be a hundred...
But never again
I pray...
May I have dancing boots..
On display...
