In May

A May day’s golden light of early dawn
has fallen, spreading slowly on my lawn. . .
my melancholy winter thoughts are gone.

I like this one Andrea..' especially that falling sunlight..hmm. I wonder..If its heavy sunlight would that hold the grass down, that should save on mowing, as well as being attractive..!

My melancholy winter thots vanished too..this is lovely. Thanks for reading VanGogh Goes Prehistoric..my college professor thot my poem should have scored better..wasn't even recognized as I put important art words through out. It's hard to know what is considered real poetry in some of these contests. Congrats on this nice entry for Brian's contest. I can smell fresh grass and your enthusiasm for a new season.. :) Gwendolen
