In Homage of Our Dogs
He waits for you, when you are gone.
Then jumps upon you,on your return!
His breath, his joyful, loving eyes,
Truly are the sweetest treat.
He doesn't even care,when your shoes
are off.
Ignoring your argyle-covered, smelly feet!
He does not care how many trophies
you have won~
Nor does he give a hoot about a 'halibun.'
Your dog accepts you with such deep,
clear, affection.
Look deep into his eyes~~~
And do give him, your warmest, tender affection.
