In God Alone, I Trust -Psalm 56

Crying out for God's merciful grace to overcome the attackers of mine all of the day my enemies trample me in the pride, they accost me like wine In my fearful thoughts so plentiful I turn to God alone with all my trust He whom I praise for His true word be afraid not I hold fast I must Oh, my God, you know all my troubles in your bottle keeping my every tear for knowing God is truly for me in His presence being always near During past year, this psalm has been mine drinking it in to receive God's grace in my battle with PC's ups and downs my Lord's been faithful so fully without trace Now my God has touched me bringing me a sure certain hope to look ahead again a sure sign God invites to take His heavenly rope For this my God I perform my vows giving you thanks for this I must as I walk before you in your light bringing my praise always to you first (PC = Prostate cancer) (In my battle over past year with prostate cancer, I have got great strength and comfort from this psalm. One week before Christmas saw my consultant who was very pleased as my PSA down to 0.2 and no more treatment needed, with 85% of cancer gone giving thanks to God for his healing touch. Thanks to all who have prayed for me over these months. )
