In Demand

From early, early morning to night fall. I can always hear her, my name call. Honey can you fix this and will you get me that and Oh! please be careful and don't drop my hat. Bless her heart I know she is so old and this I understand. How can one person be in such great demand. I brush her hair and help her dress after morning breakfast and changing the bed linen. We brush our teeth and then take our medicine. Can you put my sweater on honey and go to the bank today, okay? Momma needs some money and don't take all day! Pick up a candy bar and for the babies too, and if you have time, I would like to be moved. Take me to the porch, there I will wait for you and please honey, the wind will be blowing; Will you spray my hair? Yes I do love her and in many ways she needs me so, but sometimes your only break can be is when your on the go. For her I know I must give a helping and understanding hand, But sometimes I wonder how can one person be in such great demand?
