In Bloom
hip, hip, hooray!
at long last,
in a parched desert
drenched
by relentless rain,
a moribund,
weather-beaten wildflower
resurrects;
beautifully In bloom;
singing songs
to visiting birds,
sighing along
with butterflies and bees,
celestial hosanna.
