In Blood
I would brave the lion's den,
plunge into the middle of the sea;
I would be a courageous warrior
to avoid a greater tragedy.
Even if the lions feasted on my heart
know that it would still be yours,
or if my lungs filled with sea water
my last words would swim to shore.
If I fought in a deadly battle
I would paint my face in blood.
I would rather kill and be killed
by it all except your love.
