In All We Do and Say

In the time we have remaining
how do we spend our days ?
Do we spend our time complaining
while soaking in sun’s rays ?

If we find ourselves complaining,
we’re burdened from within.
There’s nothing that we’re gaining
in nurturing this sin.

Do we think this life worth living;
to give our best this day ?
There’s just so much joy in giving,
in truth, our lives away.

If we spend our time always caring
in all we do and say,
We’ll surely find that we’re wearing
God’s peace throughout each day.

Complaining sure is burdensome, Doug. I've been doing a lot of it lately and it can get us down. Thanks for posting this great poem! I'll take the message to heart and see if I can find joy again. Love, Carolyn
