In a Thousand Years Will Be
In my dream the stranger said to me:
Life is a state of flux
Built on a thousand million thoughts
Love lives here on the earth
In a thousand million homes
Then her eyes darkened, her smile lost as she remembered what it had cost
I escaped from somewhere, somewhere I hope you’ll never see
I escaped from what mankind in a thousand years will be
In a thousand years from now
Over a thousand million miles away
Mankind has moved on somehow
To somewhere you can’t see with your eyes, somewhere where evil stays
The being of a human - the essence of your kind
Somehow you solved the final puzzle of how you don’t have to die
So when all responsibility is broken, when all ethical reasoning is left floating in the air
That’s when mankind found its reason to simply not care
In the future you’ll hear of a new life, a new hope far away, but I beg you not to take that journey, I beg you to stay!
In a thousand years time you’ll still be alive - imagine you can live forever, imagine living in such a time?
But when your natural soul is spent, and your body wants to die - every second of your new life will be a break in the natural order built on a thousand million lies.
