In a Rush Contest
IN A RUSH
She tarried in a rush, thus her tears hide.
The palm of her left hand, the damp cold wall.
She snuggled with the vine, as her nose sighed.
The rose matched her roused cheeks, in scent’s recall
...so many pastel buds and waterfall.
The quiescent pert petals wooed to nose.
Long fingers grip the stem, the thrust of him.
Her pearls in sunburnt hair...he’s here...time froze.
His smile, his heart of gold, a whirlwind whim.
As day begins, romantic light bedims.
