In a Hundred Years
Technology knows no bounds as it is -
It blows my mind to even
think of how the world
might be in a hundred years
The optimists among us
have bold dreams of cures
not only for cancer
but for all disease
Big dreams of peace
where drugs guns and greed
have been eradicated
The world political climate
is harmonious and cooperative
no more starvation
and no more war
Poverty is non existent
climate change has been reversed
and the effects of pollution
have been overturned
Equal opportunity for every
woman man and child
the world is one big family
I want to be an optimist
but there’s more money
to be made in chaos
I want to ignore history
and place my hopes
in technology to be the cure-all
I want to dream big too
