In A Different State Of Affairs
Days he breathed his words of worth,
beyond his measured existence,
he is not negatives of a photograph
but proofs of his true presence.
He filters through sunlit trees, bent
every way for an unspecified,
While others are statuesque and
true, still he is prescribed.
He sees a desk, there'd be
a missing book, he combed
a tattered mind, surprised,
he'd find a mind of clear
awake eyes, surprisingly,
Yon shelf there'd be his book,
but wore a troubled look, yet,
for how'd it came to be, afraid
still, ventured his curiosity, for
what he feared returned, it'd be
a tattered mind, same eyes see.
With his opened eyes, he looks
around, within a room beyond
a desk and shelf, he unwittingly,
with those affected eyes cast
opposing sights that bear of no
direction, to oddly gaze a floor...
...as a book, sit unfound once more.
