Impressions On a Central Florida Farm

Tall oak trees with shawls of Spanish moss Tower over palmettos scorched and brown, The rain drenches quickly from clouds Heavy to pass on through the rising mists, As the rude chimes sound mechanical Creative melodies reverberating in protest, Across the pasture where horses graze Casually 'til late afternoon becomes dusk. written June 5, 2021

I feel I am there, watching that moss sway, feeling the warmth but not the humidity so thank you!

You powerful impressionistic poem takes me right to the middle of Florida, Milt. Better than a 300-page travelogue. Superb poesy. :) gw

Ah, thanks so much, gw. I was sitting in a rocking chair on the veranda and loving it. Glad you enjoyed it, too.
