Importance of Authenticity

I thought I’d seen the worst, many times, many times
                          - No, I hadn’t -
We are now in times beyond anything imaginable
So many people suffering in a stormy sea of problems
We are here and it isn’t easy relying on survival tactics daily
Tired, but enduring, reaching deep inside for every resource
                       - While keeping faith -
There are no longer limits and justice is mainly gone
We can only keep loving others and ourselves
I thought I’d seen the worst so many times in the past,
                 - But, I know there is more ahead -
I am a creator, but I am analytical; I am a dreamer, but factual
Always facing truth, regardless of how hard it may be
For, a life is not worth living unless living it authentically!

Keep the faith Heidi. Your poem speaks of truth and I pray all will be led to the truth one day. All we can do is be authentic and live in love.

Dear Heidi, your honestly and revealing nature has got me thinking aside you. I agree some days its really hard to keep going and be authentic despite of the waves of fear we are being served, personal waves and public waves, nicely written poem that makes one think, God bless, I feel your feelings too and empathize :)

Truth my poetic friend is that it has been worse, from the time of slaves to the civil war, the genocide of the American Indian through the great depression, our memories fade from generation to generation each one thinking it is the worse, difference is this time we have the capacity to destroy ourselves...we still have the same degree of hate passed on from parent to child
