Implicit Objectivity

Listen to poem:
Naively we think objectivity is easy
that we are immune to implicit bias,
but our history, background and experiences
are subjective and complicit.
For how would we be different
if we trod another path
donned another's shoes,
re-traced the footprints
that other's left for us to follow.
But such simulation can never subrogate
For we are what we are and that becomes us.

Lovely poem, John. Can't argue with your logic (not that I would I want to.)
