Imminent Departure

The damage is done
	Nobody has won
		Whenever we try to hurt

The words that we say
	They get in the way
No issue left to then skirt

We have yelled what we felt
We have maliciously said
We had hoped it would help
But it hurt us instead

“*************
	***************
		***************

Where have the birds gone…
	That used to sing
That used to be on each tree
	As we walked by
Where have the flowers sprung
	That used to be seen
All symbols of love
	Seem to have died

“*************
	***************
		***************
But it’s come to this now
We can’t go in reverse
Life is altered for good
Not for better, but worse

So, so long

Wow Michael, the emotions and hurt feelings are very clear in this. This has a rhyme feeling to it and the flow is wonderful. The last staza is perfect all around. Great read. It touched my heart. Love, Robin
