Romeo has put Juliet up on a pedestal no doubt, Juliets loyalty and love for Romeo never underestimate! Annette [musical]..."We Washed Ashore" by Sparks!

Sparks! Oh yeah I heard of them, from out your way I think, the falsetto lead voice is great, I haven’t seen Annette, but now I want to more than ever!

"Annette" the movie with Adam Driver..."Sparks" the band is the soundtrack...very haunting/ a black comedy musical. Your post most enjoyed, magical, like plenty of haunting siren music out there "Song Of The Sirens"

A delicious bite. Love it. Reminds me of one of my all time favourite songs, The Whole of the Moon by The Waterboys. xomo

Brilliant uplifting song Super Mo with superb lyrics, Irish lads as well, sorry I meant Scottish, we’re almost the same, I love the crescendo “You came like a comet (kaboom) blazing your trail” Gives me goosebumps every time! delighted you like my humble effort here, thanks soo much for stopping by today, cheers David

reminded me of Wayne's World....we are not worthy....then roamed in Creep by Radiohead....which is what methinks a better fit...but the bigger lesson i take away is before one puts a woman on a pedestal make her a friend....and this line by line reminds me of such....and a great example to be sure...this is the beauty of poetry, discovering ourselves...

You know I love that song Creep by Radiohead the explicit version of course, I honestly hadn’t got it in mind when writing, but who knows subconsciously perhaps I tapped into the same source, an inspirational comment, I’m not worthy, cheers David

If you knew she seemed to be angelic, her siren song, or hymn was clear to you all along. Your feelings of not being good enough are transcribed quite clearly to me. The comparisons and contrasts are wonderfully phrased, David, even if I misinterpreted your meaning. Loving your thoughts, no matter where they lead or where I take them.

Heya Jenna great to hear from you, hope you’re keeping well, yes indeed all about contrasts, I’m sure this one could work either way for both sexes, we can become beguiled or hypnotised sometimes helplessly, by the sirens song, making us feel not good enough even though we know something ain’t right, but we’re powerless to fight it, salt of the earth people although honest and hard working also have mental strength, yet can succumb and sometimes pay with their life, your a kind soul thank you for such a great comment, cheers David

Thank you Anne-Lise, yes there’s certainly that element aboard, beguiled and betrayed, but do we allow this to happen knowing what’s probably in store? I think it’s in our nature, cheers David
