Imagine All Your Memories

Imagine all your memories little birds like away flying once you awake each day disappearing have flown to where all your memories You wonder You recall a movie with the title Fifty First Dates because you saw that movie before your accident Now you are the star of a smilar movie, which is your life - waking up to sticky notes reminding you of what you need to do each day! Hope is on. . . . . . the horizon! Sleep deprivation is the key to keeping memories intact. And so you start the therapy - interrupting sleep at every hour Then interrupting it at 2-hour intervals and ultimately building up to sleeping for four hours of continuous beautiful sleep but always having to cut it off right there. Memory retention is acheived with this therapy for the rare condition named psychogenic amnesia. Jan. 1, 2019 for Maureen McGreavy's Brainy Brevity Contest This is based on a patient X I read about online who was able to be cured through the therapy mentioned in this poem!

I think you did a great job, sorry I can't recall if this placed or not - wanna say yes, but my memory, she's not so good, even with the non-sleep-deprivation I get constantly and frequently. This was also interesting and educational. I enjoyed reading thru this creative piece. Love ... CayCay

Wow Andrea, I haven't heard about this remedy. I think it is wonderful and certainly worth interrupting ones sleep to be able to remember. That movie 50 first dates had a real impact on me and I have seen it a few times. I think it would be a really challenging change to live with daily. Well done Andrea! I bet Mo will love this unusual piece! xxoo
