Imaginary Darkness

Through the shadows of the darkness
The candlelight dances upon my face,
And the eerieness of the air lingers.
Carrying the emptiness which
    surrounds me.
But the emptiness penetrates deeper
    than the surface,
Reaching in, touching the sanity
     of my soul.
And my imagination runs wild
    with fear,
As the darkness echoes from
     within my mind.
