I'M Steeling Memories- Pedal Steel Guitar

Please don't take What's not yours Because I need it And don't think Your welcome to What is mine I've worked hard Earning all These sad feelings And I'm steeling memories and time I'm steeling memories One string at a time It cries out with heartache It bends and it whines This old Emmons pulls And it pushes real fine So please take your memories Cause I'm steeling mine Tomorrow she said I would be Over her That pain goes away And So does the hurt But I know the reason I love rhythms and rhyme It's because I steel memories One note at a time I'm steeling memories One string at a time It cries out with heartache It bends and it whines My old Marlen pulls and releases with time The heartaches and sadness That still live In my mind I sat down at my 10 string Grabbed my pedal and slide I used my many heartaches To make each of them cry So please don't you steal What I feel is mine As I pour out the heartache On that E9 Don't feel for my heartache Cause I'll be just fine I'm steeling memories..... Cause you'll never be mine...
