I'M Spent, My Friends

I'm spent, my friends What I've dreaded for 45 years Ever since a bomb sparked my fears I now witness through my tears -- O, pray that Israel does not come to an ignominious end Surrounded by 23 Arab enemies from Day One Will it implode by itself, by its own leader undone Home to three religions, to Jerusalem, to Hope A Phoenix from the ashes risen Outlasting Nazis who turned six million into soap... Tell me, tell me, it isn't true, that this Modern-day miracle... O, G-d, help us! See us through!

I’m with you, my friend! It is not men that have Israel’s back but God. This was indeed a miracle. Things can change on a dime.

Dear Gershon, Please don't cry--that's what they tell me as I watch democracy shred. Our world is crumbling; where are the mercy troops?

I'm truly sorry for your angst, Gershon. We're all idiots. Elizabeth
